Shree Medha  School of Commerce, Management and Technology is an ISO9001:2015 certified institution which has rapidly grown in stature and reputation since its inception in 2015. Born of the noble vision of its founder Mr.K.Ram Kiran to prepare a generation of Commerce and Management graduates who can successfully meet the demands of the information age and at the same time be imbued with the noble ideals of selfless service and love, an urgent need of the hour, it has carved a niche for itself in the field of education in Bellary and the Kalyana Karnataka region. 

Starting with Under Graduate (UG) Programmes in the year 2015 with a modest strength of 200, the institution has grown to a strength of 1000 offering Undergraduate courses in Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (B.Com) and Computer Applications (BCA). 

In a short span of 7 years, the college has grown into an institution recognized for its commitment to education and the all-round development of students. With an organic reach, it has evolved over the years into a sought-after institution in the Kalyana Karnataka region, drawing students not only from the city of Ballari but also from neighbouring villages, towns and districts.

A highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty lend a special identity to the institution. The faculty come from diverse academic and industry backgrounds. They also form a rich talent pool due to their specialisation in other fields as well. They are known for their innovative teaching methods for content delivery. One of the highlights of the institution is the mentorship process which helps students in decision making. While the infrastructure provides world class facilities the ambience in the college is conducive to learning with fun. Digitalised classrooms, internet facilities, a well equipped library, an auditorium, facilities for games and sports and a canteen cater to the needs of students.

Learning at Shreemedha is not confined to the prescribed University syllabi. Students are initiated into various training and learning activities which equip them with necessary skills to become employable. At the same time they are also guided to evolve as responsible citizens with a humane outlook, healthy respect for others, concern for nature and for society. They are also encouraged to develop critical thinking abilities and space for creative expression. The College has a tie up with various institutions and organisations that add value to their understanding of the world outside. It also has several clubs to keep the students involved and active throughout the year. The Cycling Club, Environment Club, Media and Culture Club, Yoga for Health Club engage  students in varied activities. In addition, the college has an NSS unit. In recent days it has even built a volunteer core that forms a part of the Red Cross Society. A vibrant campus on which academics are interspersed with a variety of  engaging events sustains student interest in learning and breaks the monotony of a mere academic routine.

A unique feature of the institution is also the diversity and harmonious participation of its students who hail from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in a district that borders two states. Through the course of their study at the institution they evolve into better persons through their mutual interaction, understanding and healthy competition as they involve in various activities,

The College maintains high standards in academics and has consistently bagged ranks at the University level. In addition, its various teams have brought glory to the institution through their participation and winning trophies at Inter Collegiate Fests. The College too conducts Fests both at Inter collegiate and Intra collegiate level. General awareness programs on citizenship involvement are a regular feature in the College. The College has a strong team of athletes and sportsmen who have represented College at the University level to further be a part of  District, State  and Zonal level teams. The college also imbue students with a respect for the country’s time honoured traditions and customs and also the ideals of great personalities who effected social change through their own life and works.

In keeping with the demands of the NEP 2020, the college has also established links with the industry, encouraging students to take up internships. It has tie ups with Internshala.com, New You Solutions, Bajaj Finserv-BFSI program and ICT Academy for placement training and online courses. So far 500 students have undergone training for placement. In addition, students are also taken on an Industrial visits to expose them to the workplace atmosphere. There have been significant number of campus selections. Our alumni have been placed at TCS, Wipro, Byjus, Cognizant, Accenture,Jaro Education,Big Basket among others

Special mention needs to be made of the fact that the institution has gained recognition from several bodies and drawn attention at the State, Regional and International levels. It was recognised as one of the top 10 educational institutions in Karnataka by Higher Review in 2021 and qualified among the top 10 BBA colleges of Karnataka in 2022. In 2021The college received the National Education Excellence Award instituted by the  International Institute of Education and Management. The Institution was awarded the iN2FUTURE Summit Award for the Best Institute for Skills and Value based Education at the International Innovative Education Summit held at Dubai in 2022.  Mr. Ram Kiran the founder and Principal of the College was honoured with the Kannada Rajyotsava award by the Newspapers Association of Karnataka.
